1st Verse:
Summertime seems like a lover’s dream
of lazy days in daisy covered meadows;
of laughing kids beside a lapping stream
and hazy sunlight gazing through your window.
2nd Verse:
Summertime seems like a love embrace;
when happy, flapping songbirds sing together,
they fly up to the sky and stroke her face
brushing clouds with their multi-coloured feathers.
Chorus:
Summertime reminds me of love;
love sublime like sunshine above.
Summertime fills me full of glee;
come and share some Summertime with me.
3rd Verse:
Summertime seems like a long, slow kiss;
sunlight tickles lakes that seem to chuckle;
busy bees make honey like love’s sweet bliss
collecting nectar from the honeysuckle.
4th Verse:
Summertime seems like a serenade;
the streaming golden sun strums a major chord;
trees and flowers flow like music played;
a heavenly tune of which I’m never bored.
Chorus:
Summertime reminds me of love;
love sublime like sunshine above.
Summertime fills me full of glee;
come and share some Summertime with me.

Beautiful lyrics JoHn,
reminds me of a Joni Mitchel
song that has the lyrics -
"I've looked at love from
both sides now."
But I can't remember the title,
will have to look it up.
Any way I really enjoyed.
Jenny.

Yes that's a great song. Especially the line, "Ice-cream castles in the air".
It would be nice to have a voice like Joni Mitchells
then I would seriously think of being a songwriter. Sadly, my voice is more Grant Mitchell than Joni Mitchell.
