You're A Vision (Eurovision Song)

from the ABC set Lyrics

1st Verse:

Remember all that we did;
a hotel room for a home;
making mad love in Madrid;
romantic antics in Rome.

2nd Verse:

We had a ball in Berlin
and love in Lisbon was bliss.
You were the only girl in
the world I wanted to kiss.

Bridge:

And then I wandered around
lost in London Underground;
wondering if I had found
the girl who’d turn my world around.

Chorus:

You’re a vision;
a vision of loveliness;
girl of my dreams in the flesh.
You’re a vision to me;
all I wish love could be.

You’re a vision;
a vision of loveliness;
girl of my dreams in the flesh.
You’re a vision to me;
all I wish love could be.

3rd Verse:

We kissed in Copenhagen;
Oslo was also so good;
watched flowers open again
walking through Norwegian woods.

And there’s no comparison
to passion we felt in France;
we could have set Paris on
fire with our fine Romance.

Bridge:

And then I wandered around
lost in London Underground;
wondering if I had found
the girl who’d turn my world around.

Chorus:

You’re a vision;
a vision of loveliness;
girl of my dreams in the flesh.
You’re a vision to me;
all I wish love could be.

You’re a vision;
a vision of loveliness;
girl of my dreams in the flesh.
You’re a vision to me;
all I wish love could be.

That's really sweet and quite clever and certainly much better than some of the strange lyrics that turn up in the competion. Did you ever record it?

all the best

Record it? I wish!

No, sadly, I am not musically gifted. I can only play a few chords on the guitar and I can't sing
very well.

But I'm still a fan of the Eurovision Song Contest, even though the wonderfully charming and urbane commentary of Terry Wogan has been replaced by the catty comments and annoying smugness of Graham Norton (Jonathan Ross would do a better job, in my opinion. He presents the Oscars well enough.)

I know that it's spoiled by the Block voting but
I like what the Eurovision stands for, a bit like the Olympics, country's coming together in peaceful competition, united in song.

I'd like to see a World Vision Song Contest where all the countries of the world take part.

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks, Lena.
