Poems of places I've lived..

Lakeland walls

The grey, stone walls

Washday

Red-brick tenements..

The Passing of the Snowman

The lone sentinel hunches, Forlorn and featureless;

Hillside dawn

The pale, weak sun, Re-birthed in iridescent Diamonds

Waking hedgerows

Snowdrops droop shyly, Exhausted from flaunting Their virgin whiteness. Soft, lucid primroses - Children waiting to be heard. Yellow gorse stars prick Against their dark green night.

Soft Spring

Softly whispering Satin lips undress my heart Spring gardens open

Reflections beside a canal

Reflections beside a canal in Holland; ephemeral images
