Oh God, not God again.

So Blair asked (and one assumes felt he was in receipt of) divine guidance.

The invasion of the Premier snatchers is complete.

But of course we all know that God is just a pseudonym that George .W Bush uses now and then.
ha ha!

Maybe it gives everyone something to blame it on when things don't go the way they want. "It was God's will" another way of saying... "I didn't know what the hell I was doing and screwed it up"

Yeyyy! Thanks RD - I was wondering how to phrase my excuses about my tax return.
"Maybe it gives everyone something to blame it on when things don't go the way they want." It's worse than that. It implies that no one's opinion matters except that of a probably non-existent entity. "Say what you want about my actions. In the end, I don't care, because God will decide." And how, exactly, are we to be informed of his decision? Some kind of sign? Like, I dunno, thousands dead?
I'm not trying to preach at people, but I thought that Tony was saying that, if you believe in God (which he clearly does) you consider that your actions are accountable to God, as well as the people. A lot of political leaders of the last century, and probaly a fair few still, considered that they were accountable to nobody at all and could therefore be as ruthless and wicked as they liked to remain in power.
Camus very funny. Blair not funny, didn't Peter Sutcliffe and fuck know's how many other lunatic serial killers say something similar? Maybe they should share a cell. Harry Kerdean
