I have to admit that I like most things Tom writes. Its not any favourtism, its the way he paints pictures in my mind with his words. You can play for me any time Tom.

Thanks, QueenElf. Much appreciated. If you want to buy my book, visit my blog: http://whatisthisstrangeplace.blogspot.com/
I thought this was just gorgeous and full of some emotion I can't quite put a name to.
I'm probably way off on the unstanding of the poem. The first part suggested a comparison between two strong, fearless ladies...echoes of Amy Johnson maybe? The emotion is regret and loss? A lover that's grown apart from the poet. It deserved the cherry anyway.

Not way off at all, QueenElf. For me, the poem is about ambition and distance, about journeys. If you want to buy my book, visit my blog: http://whatisthisstrangeplace.blogspot.com/
