A fruitful use of time?

Does anybody else think that they spend too much time in the forums? I'm sat in front of my PC supposedly writing a short story, and so far I've added a comment to practically every thread and - now that's done - I've started a new thread.
I fear I'm frittering away all my creative energy.
Look at someone who's truly prolific, like Biggus: you never see him on the forums (except in his own thread) and he's written about thirty thousand poems this month already.

Dahlink, we ALL spend too much time in the forums, often arguing senselessly and with great heat over inconsequentials. It is great fun, and even though I like to pretend I've got better things to do, actually, I don't. You'll adjust. *grins*
Oh good! Thanks, Archie, I'm feeling better about it already. So what shall we talk about?
I don't spend too much time in internet forums. In fact I'm not even here now.

They don't call you mad for nothing, do they? :)
I'm pretty much justified because I spend a helluvva lot of time on the pc mixing and mastering music. These brief excursions here are a welcome break and I've learned so much these past couple of years so it's deffo worth the time-out. ;) There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

Okay. It's nearly nine-thirty. I've drunk a bottle of merlot and still haven't added anything to my short story. I've reached the thirty-day-limit on most of the threads (so can't respond to the later ones), had some nice herby French cheese (because I have a cold and can't taste anything milder), and basically I think there must be more to life.... ...hold on.... ...No. I was wrong. That's it. I suppose there's always tomorrow. Perhaps I'll reach the second paragraph...
There's not 'always' tomorrow..so get writing! :) There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

Ahh, but Yan, there is always tomorrow, because when tomorrow becomes today, then the day after tomorrow becomes tomorrow... UC? ~PEPS~ Latest on The Art of Tea ( http://pepsoid.wordpress.com/ )... "The Art of Flânerie"

My excuse is that spending time on the forums is being creative… it’s writing, it’s thinking, it's interacting with fellow human beings… what more useful activity can there be? ~PEPS~ Latest on The Art of Tea ( http://pepsoid.wordpress.com/ )... "The Art of Flânerie"
