Hello

Hello everyone. I haven't had a computer at home for the past year so I haven't been around for a while. But I sold some stories in December and bought myself a Mac. Yeah!

Hope some of the old faces are still around. And some of the young ones.

Drew.

Oh and a Happy New Year.

Joyous returnage to you, Drew! :-)) pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)

Nice to make your acquaintance, Drew... and Happy New Year to you, too. How do you get on with the Mac? I'm thinking of swapping from a PC. (presuming, of course, you don't mean a raincoat).
Glad to see you back Drew. I remember once reading a post of yours on this very forum where you made what I thought was a telling point about attitudes to writing contests. If I may be so bold, what were the stories and where did you sell them?
Ooo... and what was your point about writing contests?
Drew! Hooray! I've missed you. Hope all is good with you. It's a bit quieter round these parts these days. Many of us who used to wile hours away on here in the day secretly from the office now have serious jobs where we can't do it. Well, I do. I'm training to be an RE teacher! Yep. Stay in touch Hx
Woo! Great to have you back, Drew. You've been missed. It has been quite quiet here at the moment. Although the discuss writing page seems to have picked up in the last few days. Well done on selling the stories. Happy new year to you. Joe
Hi Drew, I was thinking about you the other day and hoping you hadn't disappeared into the ether forever. Any chance of an update on where we can read your stuff these days? Cheers, Mark

Alan, the Mac is fab. Much better than a PC. When I have to use one at work now it seems so naff. And of course, the mac looks nice. Mark, my website is currently not working as I haven't logged into my account for a year so they've discontinued it. I'm redoing it at the moment so should be up and running again soon. Hayley, Fergal, Spack and all, nice to know you are still around. What of Liana, Andrew Pack, d Beswetherick? They still around.

From time to time they surface but there's lots of excellent newer members you need to get to know - and our big development is at http://www.booktribes.com - take a look at it. Good to have you back! Now post some more of your wonderful words!
Tony, hi! I've just logged onto booktribes and had a quick whizz around. I like it a lot. I shall use it to keep a record of what I've read and to find new books. It was easy to use and only took a few minutes to get a hang of.

Don't know you Drew, I'm a newer member, but welcome back. I'm someone kinda tolerated more than anything I suppose, you know fucked up and can be cranky. Hell, saying that, I'm in good company so ignore that. I write and love it. Welcome back, look forwars to reading your work and congrats on being published. (sat here typing into his pentium 3 tower not a flash Mac). Oh and before you all take the piss according to todays G2 Hunter Davies still uses a clapped out old Amstrad so ther's hope for me yet, all I need is the talent. nobody
I believe the extremely talented Robert Rankin still writes in exercise books with a pencil... pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)

There's a lot of good to be said for paper and pen. At least it doesn't have access to the internet to distract you when trying to write! Hi Drew, by the way.
Robert Rankin does indeed write with a paper and pencil - in the pub. This can lead to some very bad nights with him, it can also lead to some very good ones. Robert is an old pal of ABC and has appeared at ABC nights in London and Brighton. I'm glad you are a fan!
helo drew.. long time no see. was in your neck of the woods a few weeks ago and mailed you - you wouldnt have got it then, tsk. Drop me a line? Liana x
Hey honey, I got the email the day after you'd been. Sorry I missed you - I was only able to check emails at gym or ex's. Didn't you pull a plumber, or a mechanic, or someone....????

hey drew ... nice to see you back ... and great to hear of writing success! a plumber, a mechanic? a googly eyed erector? xxx
no i bloody didnt... i managed to escape a builder though if that's what you mean.
not a builder ...
an erector? Oh yes. Not erecting anything near me anyway.
And yours too. I've book looking at your blog over on Frontline books. Are you to be writing about literature in Leicestershire??? And have you heard of the new magazine Tripod?

Big fan of the Rankster, Mr C! :-))) ... read all he's written thus far. Good to hear of his... "affiliation"... with ABC. I do occasionally pop on to the Sproutlore forum to write a few words of silliness (I'll leave it to the would-be detectives herewith to try and figure out who I am (if they so desire)). pe ps oid ...
