Congrats on being cherrypicked. Your story is poignant. It does leave one wondering where is Eddie's mom in the picture and what kind of cancer does Eddie have. Also how did Emily and Eddie meet? If Eddie is 8 months away from death what brings him to the hospital? Surely he isn't going to stay in the hospital for 8 months, is he? What is his life like at home? Why is he in his uncle's care and not his mothers? What does it feel like for someone as young as Emily to be dealing with the impending loss of a friend? Oh the writing is sooooo good when you're interested in the story enough to want more and more! Excellent, excellent writing! Please give us more.
