Caught the last few entries of a "Best Comedy Characters" prog t'other night... Basil Fawlty at number one! Closely followed by Edmund Blackadder...
So the public do have taste!

For the most part no, but there are a blessed few.
I for one love British comedies. Monty Python's Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder, Mr. Bean... All classics.
