First Timer
Hello,
My first post here so just really saying hi and wondering if anyone has any advice or tips for an ABC virgin.
I'll upload some of my work soon I think. Is there any kind of size limit in terms of word count?
Thanks!
Hello and welcome!
No size limit but people will probably be more likely to read shorter pieces.
It's probably best not to post more than three things at once. It's not a rule but people have been known to post 50 or more stories poems etc and that just clogs up the 'recently added' section (which is where most people look to read stuff).
If you comment on other people's work they will be more likely to comment on yours. Although again this is not a rule.
Happy posting.

It is a rule! Only 3 per day please. I look forward to reading your work and Drew gives good advice - keep it short if you can!
Hi Ruo,
Drew is very clever, and Tony is very wise. Me, I just hang out here, doing nothing in particular.
I think you'll enjoy it here, so get posting!
Gareth
Hey,
Thanks for the welcomes and advice.
I'll post some stuff up over the following week. The reason I asked about length is that my most recent story turned out to be the longest I've ever written, about 13,000 words.
So, yeah, I'll hang back with that for the time being and post up some of my shorter work.
Thanks again.
R.
Long pieces of work are generally well received if you cut them up and post them in installments over a few days/weeks.
Good luck.
Gareth
Exactly - 13,000 words will go in one piece but it's unlikely that anyone will read it in one sitting - so try and cut it into maybe six sections and then people will get through them - if they are enjoying it!
Welcome Ruo, don't worry about being an ABC virgin, you'll pop your cherry soon enough.
Sorry, had to do it, my legs wouldn't let me move from the PC until I did.
