how can I get feedback?!?

I have been to 3 different sites and posted my drafts for 2 stories multiple times...I am getting plenty of reads (this site is a lot better than the others when it comes to that) but I cannot seem to get ANY feedback. I am confused because I thought that was one of the best benefits for a site like these...Any tips or comments I would appreciate it.

Hey Jeremy! Don't panic - you only posted the topic a few hours ago! You've got to remember we all have lives outside of ABC and as it's the summer many users will be away or busy - things tend to get a little slower round here during the summer months! The best advice I can offer you is, comment other people's work! I'm not sure if you're a regular commenter but you really need to get stuck in, feeding back to others and I'm sure you'll quickly make friends and return the favour! I'll check out your drafts tomorrow and offer any feedback I can, although I'm more inclined to poetry myself. Magic xxx

thank you for the advice and that makes total sense. It also makes me feel a bit selfish for not commenting on others but wanting feedback on my own. So again i will start giving my opionions and hope for some in return...again i really appreciate your response

Hi Jeremy - sorry to be slow in commenting but the last day or so has been spent trying to repulse unwanted boarders on the site. We've succeeded in stopping them for now but they are a total pain - and they distracted me from answering posts like this. Magic's advice is very good. You will get feedback if you give it - as you sow, so shall ye reap! Get involved on the site and you'll soon find people whose writing you like and you will find that most of them will help you if you help them. A big welcome to ABCtales - I look forward to reading more of your work.
