Comments I ain't got any ?

So I put my work onto the page ,and I was hoping for some comments I have had one . 428 reads and one comment .now I could understand if nobody had read the pages I have put on here but only one . Am I doing something wrong ? Please please Help somebody tell me wher I am going wrong ..

Usually, you have to give comments in order to recieve comments, either that or get a cherry. JoHn - "Ex amore victoria". ("From love comes victory".)
I have honest but surely someone would at least give one comment in 428 reads . I feel as if I have been sent to Coventry and don't remember getting the Bus lol
Hi Blessing yes I understand what your saying , just made me feel I was doing something wrong ?. Plus good or bad comments I don't care at least it would be a start .
I've left a comment on Chapter 2 of your novel. It looks promising from what I've read. JoHn - "Ex amore victoria". ("From love comes victory".)
Cheers John I will go check it out ..Clive
Here's a tip, go to your account and hit on the track button, if the first page that comes up has mostly links to your writing (other people's forum posts don't count), you are not reading and commenting on other people's work enough. Blessing above I notice comments on loads of writing which is brilliant - you don't have to do that much but perhaps a bit more than you are - there's no guarantee of course, but it will make comments on your stuff more likely. I have perhaps 20,000 reads on ABCTales and probably 20 comments in total. Some of the comments I have had I have valued very much, and I have valued cherries even more so, probably far too much. Positive feedback is nice. The thing is that if you want feedback then you need to give it out. My advice would be to try to read and leave comments at least as often as you post. However, I would also say that one must realise the limitations of feedback. Your stuff might be brilliant and never receive a single comment; even if you do get feedback it is nowhere near as important as your own view of your work. If you get good practical advice that you apply and seems to you to improve your writing then that is different, but that is the rarest gem of all, and worth a thousand times any "that was so nice, I really enjoyed reading that." The hard truth I believe, is that one has to learn to write for oneself (or for money!); you can't really even trust agents or publishers because they don't care if you are brilliant, but only if they can sell your brilliance. The only opinion that you can trust on the quality of your work - unless you care to trust the market - is your own.
Thanks Kropotkin38 I will bear that in mind , I understand that my own view of my work is important ,however it seems one never trust's ones own judgement unless it is evaluated by others , I guess it's a question of confidence . Thanks again for your comment much appreciated .. Regards Clive
Thanks Fatboy74 will do that well at least give it a try .. regards Clive
