A wonderful winning poem - but there's a horrible mistake near the end - an it's for an its! Change it - as it spoils a great piece of work.

It was indeed, fatboy (see further down the threads), I updated it a couple of times, too. I always post UKA stuff like this on ABC, as we're pretty close site-wise, and have a lot of mutual members. In fact out of that winning list ('highly recommended' included) at least three of the poets are also ABC members. Keep an eye out though, we'll be having another one soon! http://www.ukauthors.com

Glad you thought it "wonderful", Tony. A very similar draft was posted on ABC about a month ago, which attracted very few reads and the sum total of zero comments. Revisionism, who can argue with it? But hey-ho, onwards and upwards...

To be fair to Tony, I certainly don't think there is enough time in the day for one person to read everything that is posted on this site, especially not if you're time is used up with kids/jobs/drug trafficking etc - I read a lot of the poems on here and I don't remember reading it - if one of the editors missed it then I guess that's just the way it goes. With regards comments, you don't leave that many yourself. Oh and fabulous poem by the way - congratulations.
