erm...this may sound daft, but how does one go about entering lines of poems so they appear on screen (in abctales) as they should, rather than as continuous lines... if you see what i mean.

Thanks Jennifer. I've tried, succesfully, putting a blank line between each line in my poems. Thanks and thanks etc...

Zen, matsuo and the elvis experience (have I remembered the title correctly?) was fabulous, fergus - as was the short poem about love and seasons (haven't read much yet) Jxx

Ok, so have you all tried putting in the extra line - does it work? If not, say so here and we'll try and deal with it. Pip pip, Tony

I always type up mine first in Word, then copy and paste - and I never have any problems. Jen

I had the same problem as yourself, Fergus. Only today I copied and pasted a poem, only for it to come out as one long paragraph. I had to go back and edit it by putting commas at the end of every "line". It looks pretty weird. To be fair, though, this is the first time this has happened. Previously poems have come out as poems.

Cut and paste from Word should work - or just type it directly onto the form as you wish it presented and send it in. Both work for me but if you have trouble then please let us know and I'll consult the techies. Pip pip, Tony, The Chief Exec.

Tony, I tried cut and paste - did a no work. Did it as in the form and it still comes across as one line instead of dropping down as I wanted it to. Driving me insane!!

yup, tony : it works. As is often the case, an extra line works wonders... Jennifer - Thank you. (It was FAT Elvis, not that it matters!)

For stories, once I have copied and posted, Fecky - I go through the little box of text and insert a line in between each paragraph - this works - if you don't do this it just comes out on the screen as continuous text! Jen

I always go through the text box too and, I have to say, I've never encountered a problem (well, only a couple of minor ones, and they usually turned out to be my mistakes anyway).
