Breaking Bad

Has anyone else seen the series Breaking Bad and noticed the clever part played by Skyler, the housewife who'd really like to write, as she 'writes' the plots for Walter? I've never seen this done before. Very interesting.

It's one of the best US series I've ever seen (along with The Sopranos, Dexter and Six Feet Under). By far the best characters and Walter and Jesse (obviously). http://www.ukauthors.com
Not forgetting The Wire, for me anyway, andrea..yes Steve, very intense, very morish but needs to be savoured..
Yes, I remember that episode. Very interesting indeed. Breaking Bad is one of the best series I've watch in a long time too, though it is extremely intense. I spent a huge amount of time watching episode after episode, what with every one ending with some twist or cliffhanger. It really is a wonderful blend of top-notch acting and writing.
You've both sold it to me, andrea and Stan. Will watch 6FU asap.
Never managed to get into The Wire for some reason. 6FU also stars Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Pixie. (and of course I meant 'are', not 'and', in my original post :)) http://www.ukauthors.com
Well, as writers we all should appreciate that show, as without the clever and brilliant writing, the show would be nothing. Don't get me wrong. It took producers to believe in the idea, and it took great actors to perform the parts. Still, great actors cannot turn shit into gold, yes? I actually needed you to explain to me the point about Skyler's character writing Walter's life. Fucking brilliant. Just one of many subtle things the writers have done with that show. Some episodes drag and sometimes explore nothing, but that is to be expected in a series where they are required to create so many episodes in a given time frame. I might give The Wire a try, but never got into it either. The other shows mentioned were great with the exception of The Sopranos. It was worth watching, but I never felt the need to study it like I do other shows that were too good to just watch once. Still...Breaking Bad exceeds anything that Dexter or Six Feet Under attempts to convey. Michael C Hall is a great actor. I was totally convinced that he was actually a gay actor playing a gay character until Dexter came along and I read he was dating the actress that portrayed his sister, and he did superbly in that as well. ;) GGHades502

I guess the point of Skyler writing Walter's life, Hades, was to show how the truth was stranger than fiction! Plus her talents at last came to the fore. She amazes me in the show. I've yet to see Season 5.
Watched it for the first time last week, best thing I've seen for years, did the entire fist series in one sitting. It's made me want to get netflix just to continue watching.Hiya everybody.

It gets better!
