The Brightlingsea Boy
The Brightlingsea Boy ( a story that evolved on this site particularly owing to length restrictions) has been short listed for The London Magazine Short Story competition, winner announced in January with champagne in the House of Commons. It is vulgar to blow your own trumpet but I am a vulgarian. The story developed thanks to lots of astute online critics so ABC tales is a winner, whatever happens.
Bloody fantastic BJD. I don't need to tell you how much admiration I had for the piece. I hope you go all the way and win the contest outright but really, getting on the shortlist is the biggest step. Nice one mate.
Blow away, sunshine!!
It's just a brilliant story - the best of luck with comp.
Fantastic news BJD. Hope it wins.
Thanks for the support, Jolono, Denni and Scratch who first flagged the story up... and great to see you back fatboy74--- hope all's well-- I know Denni has some new white goods and a Smeg to boot
