NFG magazine.

This is a Canadian print magazine NFG.

What I like about it is the submission process. You enter your work online and then it is read by an editor. The editor gives you initial feedback (within a day or so) and if he/she/it likes it then it gets passed on for further review. You work will be then read by up to 10 editors who each give you a score. If your average is high enough you then go to a senior editorial panel and if you pass that you then get the editor in chief to look at it.

At each stage of the process you can see what each individual has said about your work.

If they do publish you you get paid.

There are also a number of competitions. A 69 word story competition. The prize is 69 dollars. They run this in every issue and readers get to vote. Again online.

Hey Mr Cook, can't you do this in England? Sounds like a fab system to me. Or perhaps I should do it myself. *Drew casts around compter room for bank loan*.

The website also has lots of neat stats and an overseering called Mrs Peabody.

I love it.

Boo hoo they rejected my first attempt. Although actually I think the editors comments were spot on, and helpful, so I am pleased I tried. You are right it is nice to have some feed back, I badly need it. So thanks Drew.
