I can't stop reading this poem. I'm missing something but as I've said, complete comprehension isn't always necessary. Something in here haunts me, but I can't place exactly what. But I love it nonetheless. Even the title haunts me ' sad? Sardonic?

I think it's brilliant. "The shadow of the lamp/like a baby's coffin" is a superb image, and benefits so much from not being buried under a slew of other images.
