Just an idea

I think this one's possibly for FTSE100, I think he's in charge of all the techie stuff.

I have no concept of how much work this would involve, or if it's even possible.

When you click on My account and have your portfolio in front of you, I wonder if we could have a new comment notification on there as well as on the recently added page.

Sometimes, if somebody has left you belated comments on old stuff, you don't find them for months.

I'm guessing it involves reams of typing in codes and stuff, in which case ignore me.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, I didn't know you were poorly. Hope things improve soon. And don't worry, you do a great job. And I've found a solution anyway, all these years and I've never clicked on recent posts/my recent posts. Where it shows new posts there. Take it easy and look after yourself.

sooz, you should receive an email whenever someone comments on anything you posted, no matter how long ago it was. don't you get them? could you possibly have changed your email address? something like that?

That's the odd thing insert. I get *some* emails, you'd htink it would be all or nothing. I've just found about ten comments on old stuff that I didn't know I had, none of them showed up in email, most of the comments on my own stuff don't come through, but if I post on a piece of somebody else s and then somebody else posts to that piece I tend to get a notification, so something's amiss somewhere. Obviously ABC has the correct addy because I get some, I wonder if there's some kind of filter that I've clicked somewhere?

I sometimes miss some because all ABC comment email notifications are threaded together in my inbox. Rhiannon

I always get e-mails when someone comments on one of my stories, but I never get notified, as you say you do Sooz, when someone else comments on something I've commented on. Curiouser and curiouser said Alison...

could it be that you clicked on the "do not notify me of any further comments" bit at the end of each email? I've done that once or twice by mistake
