Pimms season
Can I believe it...dare I believe it? Is summer finally here? Not hot just a vast improvement on the icy May winds.
HOW ENGLISH! I'm being a British Barometer Bitch - a thread about the weather but forgive me.
Went to Norfolk on Saturday. I took a coachful of rather nice Catholic ladies - the backbone of the Church - on pilgrimage to Walsingham (a small market town). Apart from forgetting the 'Our Father' between the ten Hail Marys the day was great, which is unusual because I don't normally like beads and statues and trinkets.
Sunday I visited the Nature Reserve on Hackney Marshes.
How did everyone else enjoy the first sunshine of the year?

Big family do back home in bedford, very difficult cycle ride wheezing along behind two friends who, it turns out, were in a lot better shape than me, fretting over dying things in the garden, killing ants.
Nice, wasn't it.
in Wales in the sun. I can see mountains out of the window and I've just found a short term job as a part time gardener.
Can life really be that nice?
Yes...
enjoy it!

There's a sun in Wales? Enjoy it while you can!
I spent Saturday in lovely St Albans, touring the Roman sites and eating (twice) at Carluccio's. Fan. Tastic. Sunshine was ambrosial.
I've discovered a new love of mojitos, so Pimms now comes second for summertime drinks.
Eating a houmous salad sandwich on Brighton beach. And forgetting to put sun block on my shoulders.
I watched Peter Crouch do the robot on my recently acquired 24" TV. I fear a record may well be on its way. I've been watching on a 13" TV and believe me size does matter. A co-writer who attends ARP gave me it, along with a VCR so I'm now well and truly set for the footy and Wimbledon.
