Why the total lack of punctuation in Basketcase? it puts the reader's hackles up. And above you have some sort of anti-spell-check device, a viral worm that garbles grammar. Punctuation is as solid and seductive as the blocks which built the Temple of Solomon.

 

I agree with BD - without punctuation it's very hard to follow and loses most of its meaning (or its meaning becomes too hard to decipher and therefore one gives up). Sorry. http://www.ukauthors.com http://www.ukapress.com
Stream of consciousness writing is rarely punctuated in any conventional sense. It is not to be read in the same way as traditional prose. Its sense emerges from the text in much the same way as we make sense of the incessant wittering in our own minds. The Editor cut his literary teeth on the 'New Wave' writings of the late 60s/early 70s, so has a taste for experimental forms. Of course, this may be a case of 'the King's New Clothes' or of a writer making a virtue of their limitations. Whatever, it is interesting. And it is up to the wider readership to reach their own conclusions.
