discrmination at glasgow university
there is alot of discrimination in this world. The Uk always tried to purport that it strives to get away from discrmintaion but is this true. Especially in scotland there is alot of discrmination. I reckon that the abctales.com discuss writing forums is used by people who are trying to build up each others writing. Probably some of thes people who are commenting know each other and are friends and who are using the site to try and up a persons work so it might look good to prospective publishers.
I joined a course at Glasgow uni last week and when in entered the class another student who looked ill called me a ned. He probably looked at the scars on my face and shaven head na dthought i was a thug. Had he any right to call me this, no. If he had bothered enquiring he would have found that during an illness the scars ahppened and were not put there by anyone else. It put me right of the course which i had paid for with my benefit money. It threw me of the class. Being a 34 year old adult i was not really expecting to be called a name when i entered the class.
the tutor started to openly discrminate against me. We cant openly choose how we look. If i had the choice i would be small and non noticable but for grace i am who i am. I certanly dont expect to be discrnminatde in a glasgow university creative writing class as a writer who looks differnt through no fault of his own and especially aftre paying the cours efees out of my benefit money when i stay in an emopty funtureless flat. Glasgow universiry loves to tell how it has no discrmination policy but is this really true. In the pyscology of addcitions class there are two men out of 24 students. Yet the city has one of the worst drug addiction problems in Europe which mostly it has be said effect young men. does glagsow university really think that these young men rae going to turn to educated women who have no real idea what it is like to counsell them out of this.
Are there any other unis around the Uk openly practicing discrmination against students that you know off. For years west of scotland culture has propegated series discrmintaion against young men.
I hope maybe next week when i tun up the other students might keep there discrmintaive comments to themselfs.
