I have no idea why this wasn't cherried... crikey, I'd donate one of mine for this.

I've read sharper writing and better description ... but this is so raw. I'd have laid a tenner on it that this wasn't fiction (before seeing the autobiography heading)Only somebody who has done this and felt it could have written it with such purity.

I don't know if this was sister or daughter, I'm guessing sister because I never once thought daughter or even mother while I was reading it.

Just think, she'll notice every time you haven't shaved now. Hope she makes a full recovery soon Tony, bet she feels better for it already. Sorry hun, didn't realise it was brand spanking new. But I was right, wasn't I? it's damned good.

hey sooz well observed, it's not fiction and yes it was a sister. and i know it's definitely not my best piece or sharpest writing, but the fuzziness more or less portrays how my brain during that time

The day anyone notices when I haven't shaved will be a miracle! Haven't shaved for 20 odd years - there are some advantages to alopecia! And yes, it was a very good piece!
