I think this has a lot of potential. It has some really wonderful imagery:
...and skates across a silent pond
...wings glide into the abstract
...enclose your heart within the circle of notes that rise and fall and languish into memories of summer moths and fireflies that burrow somehow in last year's autumn leaves.
mixed in with too many worn descriptions. I think 'soul' is used 3 times in such a short poem!
I think the author could work on the fresh and captivating lines and try adding to them and joining them together by describing some of the sentiments evoked by Reykjavik to give the winter butterfly a unique theme.
