Unix for Free

This site might be of interest to people here who would like to try out a Unix system without the hassle of actually installing it.

The site offers a shell account, a pretty decent one, for free and the account provides one spam free and ad free email address. Once your account has been 'validated' -- what I did was to send them $1 via paypal -- you also have access to additional programs such as 'lynx' a text based web browser.

There are also a set of games, access to coding utilities, and lots of info on how to use the unix system they have.

I know some people here maintain there own web sites and may have cause to use unix commands etc, this shell account aloows you to learn it safely. They also offer a homepage area too.

Apart from validation, the shell account is free.
