Brazil's O.U.T! So who's next!?
Few folks out there much ahve found it just too hard to believe let alone accept that Brazil would be leaving the World Cup, but that's just what happened.
Now, the question is, who's going to leave next?
My bet's on Italy.
Viva l'Italia!!!
what a game...
Oh, the Italy-Germany game *was* brilliant, wasn't it!? I was rooting for the Italians, anyhow, but was sure it would go to penalties, where it would be all over for them; the German keeper was good!
But, OH, those last two minutes; those goals!
*I'm in love...*
You're right, we never would've won (can I use "we"? I'm married to an Italian, that should be enough) if it had gone past the overtimes...
With any particular player, or the team in general???
haha, i actually labored over how to word that because i simply didn't know. next time i'll do my research.
Ha! The whole Italian team could park their expensive loafers in my foyer any day, but really (and this is coming from someone who is not a 'regular' footie fan) this particular game just made me love the game itself; both teams were excellent, and played so well, and did so with courtesy and goodwill toward one another (there was no groin-stomping in this game, please note, Mr. Rooney). It was just a brilliant exhibit of skill and competence and real sportsmanship.
But doesn't the Italian keeper look like a fit Al Pacino! mrowr! :-)
And I had to add: I *love* that Budweiser advert. Whoever thought of that ought to win a 'Best Piss-take Award'; it's just hilarious. And bang-on.
You've got to admit, there's been a lot of unpredictability in this year's Cup. For one thing, I doubt if few ever thought Brazil would end up getting kicked off a second time in a row by France; and as per that Italy/Germany match, I was actually rooting for the match to end up in a penalty contest; but could someone please tell me why Rooney had to act the way he did in England's last match?
Because he's a 19-year old thug, that's why. Just look at him; I'm surprised the twit doesn't have to bandage his knuckles to keep them from scraping. I'm even more surprised the Press hasn't pilloried him more than they have; he could certainly do with a good dressing down, the little gobshite.
I'm still rooting for Italy.
Well, I figure I too am going to go with Italy kicking out France ... but who knows what could happen on Sunday.
