I've been a bit like that recently, Dan... I thought it was 'flu.
Maybe it's just thinking too much. Accept the invitation and change your life!
It occured to me that writers often trade reality for imagination in the name of entertainment or lose truth to metaphor in the name of clarity... this piece seems to blend both techniques through the bottom of a bottle :o) That is - I liked it.

I must confess to being a bit relieved Dan. I was going to tell you to get out more etc. I suppose as a writer you can't think too much but as a person you can. Your brain needs a rest like everything else and it does it good to take it for a walk to the park in the sunshine... perhaps a park without trees :o) Then you can write a story about 'triffids' with malignant leaves... :o)

coincidentally I have spent the evening watching the old bbc tv series of triffids wot turned up on the dvd rental thingumy today. it's great.
