Does being creative make a girl inherently more boffable? Possibly. I certainly dig songwriter chicks, even if they're not particularly good at it. I cannot, however, think of a single instance where my creative abilities have aided me in romantic or carnal pursuits - unless you include the 'art' of bullshitting, in which case I owe every single sexual encounter in my life to 'creativity'.
Mingle: A Few Hours at the British Library.
Brilliant. Better turn-out than you'd have thought, in quantity and quality, and actually met some nice 'normals'.
However, I must recount the story of Henry. The conversation with Henry, a 60-odd, pompus squat man with a great moustache. He was insane. And I mean clinically. I am cutting together here parts of conversations the people I was with him in order to get the best points across. The content is all true:
Henry: Hi, I'm Henry
Us: Hi Henry.
Henry: Have you heard of Wagner?
Us: Yes
Henry: The man never wrote a note. I wrote all his music.
Us: *stifled laughter* Um....
Henry: Have you heard good music?
Us: Er...yeah.
Henry: I wrote it. All of it. And another thing: Music is a reflection of the politics of the time.
Us: Oh. So what about more contemporary music? How does that reflect the current politics?
At this point Henry pauses for at least fifteen seconds. He wears no expression.
Henry: Have you heard of Wagner?
Us: Er..yeah.
Henry: They say the part of my brain that write his music is detached from the rest of my brian. [THIS IS COMPLETELY TRUE- HE REALLY SAID THIS]
At this point, I could take no more and walked away, laughing. However, one of my friends said: "I wrote West Side Story."
Henry: Really? Do you know Wagner?
Sadly, everyone else, while slightly oddball at times, was reasonably normal. I actually had fun. We went to the pub after, dragging a few stragglers with us and had a good night.
I'm still wearing my wristband. It's like those charity ones, except it reads, "Where Beautiful Minds Meet."

Wow. I always wanted to meet Wagner. Lucky you. (I hope you seriously considered the possibility that Henry DID write all of Wagner's greatest hits).
