Unsigned Bands/Artists

Since becoming a myspace member I've come across some top unsigned bands and artists. I've even taken to compiling my own little cd albums of some of the great stuff available at the site. I feel like a bit of a John Peel, sifting through page after page, uncovering those hidden musical gems, and then publicising them in my blogster.

Here's a couple I'd like to share. If you know of any crackin' unsigned, or little known, artists at the site, I'd love to hear from you, and I'll check 'em out!

Baxter Dury is/was signed. I've got some stuff of his (although I nicked most of it off the'net). He's Ian Dury's son ain't he?
I can't stop humming those SlutKull ditties. Do their mums know what they're up to when they're out of the house?
Deek hoi are great! Nice one Yan. Joe
Glad you like it, spack. :) Have you noticed that all Deek Hoi's tracks are in mono? But it works really well. Josie - you know more about him than I do. ;) 'Love in the Garden' has just stuck in my head ever since hearing it last week; even my 3 year old girl knows it! ;~/ When the power of love overcomes the love of power, we'll find peace. - Jimi Hendrix

Two albums i know of: "Floorshow" and "Len Parrot's Memorial Lift". I have noticed that there ain't a section for him anymore at my local HMV so they're hard to find in shops, but you can get 'em on the internet, I'm sure. It's a good call Yan, putting his name up there, spreading the word. I liked a bit of the Deek Hoi stuff too. I need to get it and listen to it in my own time though. It's not music for rushing around to. So what about those Slutkull chappies?
Normally I'd advise young writers to get out more and nake friends, but if your friends are like Slutkull I'd make an exception and promote sitting alone in your bedroom listening to The Smiths. I'm sure they're nice guys really.
He (there's only one of him) is an extremely nice guy. He also makes lovely lush ambient type music when he's in a better mood. I saw two bands last night that were very good: http://www.myspace.com/troublesmusick http://myspace.com/iliketrains and I also think very highly of this lot: http://www.myspace.com/friendsofthebride
