Mother's day and August month is certainly a month in which woman plays a vital role it's the one month where we as woman are
being celebrated and past transgressions remembered. Are woman being valued for who they are sadly when measured towards standards we have failed once again. As usual the argument would be a lot is being done. Now to those people I'd like to say come out of your perfect houses with your perfect circumstances and you'll see just how wrong are .As many times before you can only go back to one woman Sara Baarman .A history worth looking at and a history that must never be forgotten .Years later Anene Booysen story once again shocked the world. Women's rights are still being discarded as nothing . Did we become so used to being branded that we just accept things as they come. Do we look in the mirror and value the woman in front of us to let her know that she is priceless and of high value. Do we even realize the impact we have in our communities as Mothers, Aunts Daughters and Nieces. What are we doing in our communities at our houses to let these young girls know how beautiful smart and unique they are. Do we let them know along with our love that they are tomorrow's leaders that will shape our future. Do they know never to devalue themselves just to fit other peoples standards, because they are beautiful and unique .
They are women worth celebrating because God created them all the more reason for them to walk with pride. So here's to all the beautiful brave women out there , from the ones still wearing nappies to the ones that's fully grown,be proud of who you are, keep on celebrating the woman you are and never settle for anything less.
