Cyclops part 1

Cyclops part 1 and 3 are the culmination of about four months work, Both in researching, then redrafting the text through two rewrites. I first came up with the idea of writing a ww1 short after reading an article in the Guradian newspaper about a mysterious grave found at the sight of Fromelle, in the south of France. After some more digging, I found out that the grave was filled with various soldiers of various nations. The main teller of this story is also not entirely fictional; as he was my great great grandfather, who died in the Somme, during the worst of the fighting. This story is dedicated to him and the men who died senselessly in a war that was a senseless waste of human life. I hope that I have captured both his heart and his voice in the story; which is not nice but real enough to capture your imaginations. AD Hunt
