I wanted to write something about the poisonous blue of Thatcherism. But went off completely somewhere else and consoled myself that she didn't own the colour.
I saw on the internet that Backalong was a Somerset or West Country word for a long time ago, although my dad (Somerset born) says he knew it also as meaning 'back over there.'

I think I missed any news of these floods completely. What an experience and I'm so sorry it got into your home as well. I liked the little touch of the nurse at the back of the shop who had no idea what was happening at the front.
