Rapscallion Esq

An over thirty something (an age descriptor that should cover me for life...) chap whose been through enough and still has more to come.

I like to build stuff when I find the time, money and motivation and write when i have the inkling, mood or whatever other factor induces it.

I try and write prose and have discovered that I relatively/dubiously accomplished at writing lore and working new ideas seamlessly into the world I have created in my mind but have failed to get any of that up here so far. I am terrible at writing anything that might comprise a story. So bad.

Most of the 'poetry' up here is from a bygone age and is kept here as much for posterity as anything.

Feel free to enjoy or wince at the writing at your pleasure and perhaps I'll get to adding more again. Which is about as edgy as i get nowadays,

My stories

Heart of the Witch

He leaps towards her sword extended for the life ending thrust, hand out to grapple. The sword slices into her, smoothly sliding through her skin...

Hope and Belief

In a weak voice he asked her 'You still believe, don't you?' and as he spoke he reached up to brush away her tears. She nodded, not trusting herself to speech, knowing full well he meant God. 'Then there's no need for tears, is there love.' She shook her head marshaling herself and sighing, 'no, but that doesn't mean i want to wait, I will miss you you know.'

[Holding Your Heart]

[holding your heart] I hold your heart to me, held dear and protected, shielded from myself, I'm trying to keep it safe from me, whilst I embrace it

'An infinitely slow tear'

an infinitely slow tear, [Falling for an eternity] rolling down the cheeks of grace, [Staining the face of an angel]

Heart In Chains

>once my heart was on my sleeve, >free to give and take, >so I locked it up, >and lost my key.
