I like this David poem. I could feel tension building in me as I read it, until I reached the end. But I'm not really sure the tension's gone. Poor David.

I used to fish that river when I was a lad. Brilliantly-captured glimpse. I love those, too. Calls to mind poets whose names I can't remember and their homage to such scenes. A fine successor.
