Diamond Casebooks - chapter 1

A Scifi novel I'm working on based around the exploits of a detective. I relax back in my swivel chair looking out the window. It is pouring down, the rain rattling the windowpane; a miserable torrential downpour that hadn't relented for days. Even the air in the office is damp and cold, the heating giving up the ghost a few days back. Looking up past the rooftop of the drab brown building opposite that houses the Centura loan centre, more ominous depressing black clouds roll across the heavens.

The Tower of Ranphoon - Part 1

As I stand at the forest's edge, its vastness stretching out before me, I glance back at far off Castle Sengat, my new home. Its grandeur always amazes me with its towering white ornate triple twisting spires that seem to reach up forever into the crisp blue sky. A place of peacefulness and prosperity; a place I'd called home since vowing my allegiance to King Sengat. He did not ask why I'd chosen to align myself with his people, he did not judge nor demand an answer; all he knew was I had been outcast from my homeland, and had asked, no begged, for a place to call home once again.

This is an attempt at Horror/Erotica I did for a competition on another site. Mike and I knew we were on to a good thing. The girls, Jenny, Mike's girlfriend, and Josie, my girl, had both promised us it would be a night to remember. The girls had already said we would be swapping partners later that night, something we'd all wanted for a long time.

All around me is darkness, why or how a come to be here I have no idea. All I can see is a small light in the distance, so I begin walking towards it. The last I can remember is having way too much to drink at my mate's Halloween party. I guess I must have passed out before it ended.
