Rise please, the wings of
grace and comfort me today,
for I am weak and afraid, bend
and hold me, as I watch him
leave.

Must be a very good friend however, did you show them this? I hope you do, it will show how much you love them.

Layout is great, love how the first sentence was always matching.

I really like the repetition in this. Has a real sense of loss and devastation. Made me feel a bit miserable and I didn't even know the guy :)

Sad but a brilliant writer!
I agree, you could record
it onto tape and send.
I to miss somebody who did
so much for me in all circumstances.
maybe he or you visit each other.
sounds like a soul partner very rare
Love repeating!of poem like a chorus

Thanks Julie, glad you liked the poem and the repetition. I will visit him:) Aww soul mates we are so close! We have been freinds for a year, not that long really, but like you said he did so much for me when I was in a bad circumctance and we got close really quickly, all friends should be there for eachother through thick and thin :) x

Hey Beeme,
I really enjoyed the poem it brought a tear to my eye :), I no how you feel my friend because i have felt the loss of 2 great friends of mine, and i to miss them greatly but after all i havnt lost them because im going to vistit them as much as i can and when you are such close friends it doesnt matter how far apart you both are you still can share the good times with one another because friendship is such a strong bond which if you want it to can last a lifetime, or maybe untill your 30 to start things off ;).

Keep up the great work Beeme, you are a great poet and maybe you should reconsider publishing some work in a mag or something.
