DREAMER IN CRYSTAL

I met a Dreamer, all alone,
Of crystal like the Moon;
She sang me songs of other worlds
And everything over the Sun ........
- - - - "I'll change the colour of the sky,
- - - - And turn the rain to gems;
- - - - I'll change your teardrops into flowers -
- - - - So will you love me then?
- - - - I'll change all metals into gold,
- - - - Make diamonds out of sand;
- - - - I'll turn the starlight into words -
- - - - So will you love me then?
- - - - I'll change the mountains into glass,
- - - - Paint dreams upon the wind;
- - - - I'll build a city out of ice -
- - - - So will you love me then?
- - - - Will you love me then?"
I loved the Dreamer, all alone,
Beneath a crystal Moon;
We sang the songs of other worlds -
And everything over the Sun,
And everything over the Sun.
