I look into your brown eyes,
Both for a moment and from a distance
I had seen some monkeys on tv
And some real Macaques in sri-lanka

You were looking at me
I was looking at you
We knew

You raised your finger
motioned
Come here
I did the same, in shock

You had been copying
your mirror-neurons firing
Peaked at my presence
We are cousins

We are similar
You are simian
I supposedly sapiens
And you smell

I have lynx(TM)
you have the opposable thumb
My cerebral cortex is more developed
But who is more civilized?

I have a casio watch
I pay my bills
you don't even know how to cook
Or open an envelope

You have more fur
I have hair
I was never really like you so
But our histories are common

you could watch TV
I could go to the zoo
you move in ways I can't
