The bull is a huge animal
Strong and powerful
If it could speak
Would it say anything useful
My friends
The bull already speaks
He is a Tory MP
He spits, and snorts
Foams at the mouth
His intellect palpable
His eyes focussed
As he sees red and gets ready
Ready to charge
At the twisting cloth
He goes back
Hooves scour the green carpet
Charge!
His rhetoric is fearsome
Arguments insurmountable
Ring hot with his breath
His prey whimpers
As he prepares his a posteriori
Neurons firing he charges for the red
But the yellow jumps on the back
A roar is heard
Order Order!
Boos and accusations of foul play
Yet the beast is slain in fair game

Really liked this MD. The comparison between MP's and the Bull fight is quite brilliant!

Yep, it's quite cool. Though I imagine in reality bulls are better behaved. Thanks jolono.

One of the reasons I didn't vote for years MD.

Hiya Magic.
I didn't see any typos.
I think they behave like a pack of children, but your analogy works just as well. I particularly like the last stanza.

Hiya Sooz,
I used to watch the parlementary channel for hours on end day after day, it was quite entertaining! :-) As for the poem, I wrote it very quickly and did not know where I was going with the bull idea, till I finished the first verse.
I guess it could so easily have been bull-shit, in fact im sure there is a good argument for that.
Cheers for the read and comment.

I'm really not surprised about that hoalarg. At least you were spared George Bush.
