The last taboo
The joy of shitting
The happy expulsion
The cleansing of the soul
The mighty one
The soft one
The hard one
The liquid one
The loud one
The covert one
The flambloyant one
The textbook one
The mission
The peace and quiet
With a fragant end
It unites us
It clamours for privacy
Dignity
Pleasure
And Cleanliness
The most basic of needs
The antithesis
Of a meal
Well prepared
We share it with all
In club anus
A skill once learnt well
Only in weakness forgotten
Let us uphold that function
Making it more sacred than eating
As precious as breathing
And as vital as making love

'We share it with all
In club anus' - that line in particular is fab, magicdarer. An enjoyable read. But what, pray, does the textbook one entail? I really need to know so that I can correctly categorise my dumps.

Like the act of defecation, this poem started out
promising, tapering slightly at one point, then,
teasing us with a flourishing ending.
