My Daughter

She is a very special person
Not to you
But to me
And my dear, dear wife
She was born out of love
And is the most beautiful creature
To inhabit this earth
Not to you but to us
She was given most delicate care
Like the most fragile treasure
That lived breathed and cried
She was peace incarnate as she lay asleep
But where are you now, dear daughter
And where are you now dearest wife?
Do I even know you, now if I saw you wife?
And darling child, do you exist somewhere right now?
Where are your spirits? I can tell you both that
You live in my heart, daughter you will be born
Born to me
And wife you will yet feel my touch again
I pray I will know you both
And of my son?
God let him come
I shall not ask if it is not to be
Let us be reunited
Like we are now
In this life
Not the next
