Where to go with Weasels

I'm wondering, is this the best place to try out novel chapters? Or is it more suited to short stories and poems?
On that point, my "Bag of Weasels" stuff seems to have started out well, then gone down the pan somewhat. I wonder if anyone who's read any of it would feel free to comment.
I'm starting to comment on some of the work I've read, and appreciate it is a difficult thing to do at times. Although I joined nearly a year ago it was only to quickly look at someone's work, then forgot all about it, and in reality only rejoined a few weeks ago, so this is new to me, although I have been to writing groups. I am tough enough for hardcore feedback!

Josie - it is difficult to follow books on here - but I do so from time to time. I thought 'weasels' started off realy well - but I will go back and read on through it and give you an opinion. I think that ABC is good for novels as they are written - so you put up a chapter each week or so - but putting them up wholesale makes them too much for most. It also allows you to get into serious discussion with one or two others about your work as it goes along - and many writers would long for that. It's good if you find someone whose work you like - then team up with them and privately critique each other.

Thanks, I am now trying to space them out, and put other writing out there, although I am concentrating on this "Weasels" thing. Would be truly grateful for an honest opinion too.

Finally got back into your work, printed it off and presented it to my teen daughter. Typically it was the same day she started a sponsored read, so she hasn't had time to read more than Chapter 1 yet. Initial reaction? Really good stuff and wants to read more. Watch this space for teen-critique. This does, of course, mean you'll have to keep putting chapters on ABCTales, otherwise she'll never know what happens!

Thanks Meryll! Great to get some feedback, good or bad. Some of the chapters ended up going on in a slightly(!) unfinished form and have since been polished up, but I'll let them stand as they are. There's some bad language in there in one of the chapters, 'cos one of the characters is quite 'orrible, but apart from that it's not too shocking. Just to warn ya... Cheers!
