Thanks for flagging this Tony. I wrote it as the editor from Best Gay Erotica series emailed me asking if I wanted to contribute to the next one. I sent it off yesterday and he's already emailed me back saying it is one of the stories he is to send off to this year's judge. Hm.... It wasn't originally supposed to be the start of something but I'm aware now that that's how it reads. I couldn't think of a way of getting the seriel killer in at the end - sex and death didn't seem to hang together. I have toyed with the idea of writing more, but these days I'm happy doing short stories rather than committing myself to a novel. In fact, I'm just planning a long story about giant ants overtaking England.

Wonderful stuff. I see now what you mean, Drew, about outsiders fitting in! I look forward to reading more. The 'drill' section reminded me of when I locked my bike up at a train station once - only to return and find someone had nicked the saddle. That was an interesting ride home.
