YouGov and help ABCtales

I have long been a member of You Gov, the online polling organisation. They pay you (normally 50p) for each survey in which you participate.

They have a 'refer a friend' scheme to get new members and the person who refers them gets the same fee as the new member for the first three months of their membership. I thought that if anyone fancied doing this it would be a good way of getting some money for ABCtales. If you click on the link below then you will become a member through me and I will put all the money back into the site:

Only do it if you fancy having a go at some surveys - they can be quite fun!

thanks Lou - I just got 50p for answering three questions about DVDs, the BBC and which cable network I use. Took 30 secs!
I joined the other day. I take it they mail you when a survey fits your profile?
They do - it seems that new members don't get as many surveys as us old hands - but they will start to come in. I hope you enjoy it!
they asked me about bloody classical music and would i listen to podcasts!
already a member tony i do the surveys, and will get paid whenever i get up to £50, but it does take a while

I don't mind doing this in principle - these are all online surveys, aren't they? Don't want to actually have to GO anywhere or speak with anyone on the telephone... Enzo.. Buy my book! http://www.amazon.co.uk/o/ASIN/1846855187/
I've done a couple now, and it's a welcome break from work.
It is all online - and I quite enjoy it when I see the results of a survey in which I've taken part in the paper. Maybe it's the only way you can get your voice heard these days?
Earned my first 50p today. Survey about positive/negative reactions to brand names, etc (7-10 mins max). Maybe this topic could made 'sticky' to enable more people to spot it and take part? (this comment should be just above Tony's. I edited it but it's tumbled down a few places) There's nothing more mind-teasing than the incomprehensible eagerly avowed - Dennett

thanks Yan - as they build up a picture of who you are they will invite you to take part in more surveys - I hate those brand ones but the political ones are good and interesting to do!
Just joined. Looks interesting. ~ www.fabulousmother.com
Thanks, Tony. I'll have a go at that. Daddy, take the banana! Tomorrow it's Sunday! - Faust

Stop with the bad jokes and sign up!
I signed up, did the prize survey, and now I'm waiting for others :) Daddy, take the banana! Tomorrow it's Sunday! - Faust

hurrah - any others up for it?
I had a look, TC, and it seems you have to give them a hell of a lot of info before actually getting started on the surveys... they're not going to start bombarding me with spam if I sign up, are they? pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)

No - they are a decent company. You get no spam but they need to know stuff about you so that the surveys are accurate. In fact they have to keep your information very discrete or they would lose all credibility. The people behind it include John Humphries and Peter Kelner - they are not going to risk their reputations by allowing any personal information out.
Your word's good enough for me, TC! ;-) Okay, I'll pop over and sign up... pe ps oid ... What is "The Art of Tea"? ... (www.pepsoid.wordpress.com)
