RE: One Question and the first time poster

Topic posted in response to One Question : http://www.abctales.com/story/spacio-vacio/one-question

I missed this piece the other day. I like it's breathless run-on tone and its on a theme I've written on too-but it's also a first time posting. That made me wonder about how we welcome the newcomer to the site. Can we flag up such users and ensure we give feedback so that they come back?!

What a fantastic piece of writing. It's a huge surge of words that fly out all together. Brilliant, emotional and original. I love it. As for first timers - we do try and welcome people but it sometimes takes writers a few visits to peek out from behind their veils. We are a cautious and contradictory bunch and I think that the big gushing welcome can be off-putting for such folk.
Oh so glad this has got cherry picked now. Agree about the writerly nature-so acknowledgement probably is the best way to say ‘hello’.

great stuff really, right from that hard place called experience...can you double-cherry it? I especially liked the bruise and how even her own body seemed to be aagainst her...I know that treachery! Its good she didn't ask Sean a question...I wasn't interested in him...tremendous...more!
hey, thanks for the comments. Wasn't sure if anyone actually read these things or not.
Welcome spacio! We look forward to more from you - and yes, you can be assured that the 'reads' numbers are genuine. They denote how many people opened your page - how many get to the end is another matter. I suspect that's almost all of them for this piece.
