'Possibly my favourite poet on here' eh? Who is this woman, for I knew it was another woman, it always is…hah. But yes, this is good and more than good. And no attempt at clever critique can touch it. Just notice when you read: 'Just another mid-summer day, when a late afternoon swim turned dark and Harriet swam out too far…' how you are pulled under too. I noticed too that this is the first time nancy_am has posted since last October and before that May. I don't, Mr Cook, my formerly favourite editor(!) wish to close ABCtales down, but this might suggest a languorous approach to literature (and posting) that produces gems. So thank you nancy_am for your mining of jewels and you, Mr. Cook, for the jeweller's window. I will be away a while…

Yes the poet's plea to write against the heart…if only to return. So absolutely no equivocation- Ms nancy_am is good. And it's languorous as in dreamy, unhurried- and wonderful.

What more could I possibly ask for? Thank you so much Tony! And thank you Kim..yes the poems have been few and far between for quite a while now.. but it's not something I've ever been able to control.. I'll take whatever I can get.. :)
