That's enough snow
Just clambered inside for a rest after spending the past four hours shovelling snow. Our village is completely cut off from the rest of the world - and now they tell us there's more on the way. This could be one snookered Christmas. Ho Hum.
I went slip sliding all the way to town. We seem to be all right in Denmark- we are a bit more used to it than you pommies ;). But. . . they don't clear other than the major roads now- they are saving something and we will soon run out of salt. I actually got a bus home and then walked the last couple of miles through a truly wonderful winter landscape- very quiet. no wind and beautiful trees covered with snow- which also is knee high in the forest- at least. Tomorrow I will stock up on a few things and then stay in my little cubby hole for christmas.
Merry Christmas
kind regards
;)Pia
That sounds like a great idea Pia, think I will do
the same.
Jenny.
We have had no central heating and the lane is only passable in the middle of the day. Tommorow supposedly two people from the heating company are coming to fix it (again). Its something to do with
complex electronic devices. The boiler controls are timed and have remotes. We have hot water just no rads.
I am keen for son to reach us. He has made it from Uni to his Dads but is not here yet and the trains pack it in.. a lot. He says he is coming the day after tommorrow.I just hope that is a snow lull.
Too bad your lighter went out Blighters LOL ;)
London's just brown slush now. Not at all picturesque but at least there are some transport options again. The bus I was in on Saturday managed all of 50 yards in half an hour.
