Charles the Eleventh, Andrea?
I don't much care for Rufus but Tania is a bit of alright. I don't think that the portrayal of Zen is tipical Italian: no Italian would turn down a tasty (female) prosecutor!
What impresses me about the series is that it finally recognises the strength and depth of modern Italian crime fiction. Andrea Camilleri is a big hit with me and there are numerous others - but they can be difficult to get in translation and my Italian is not quite good enough to get through a whole book. It's true of so many cultures - we don't get enough of them and even if we do, we are reluctant to buy them (which is why we don't get enough of them!).
