writing for different formats

Do any of you guys write for screen or theater and do you think that maybe once you master the basics like characterization narratives plot ect you can dabble in anything. I find writing screen and theater script easierv than prose although the pros eis more challenging and can always be scripted..

I picked up some excellent characterization from the local radio this morning while they where talking about a specific topic and people where phoning in telling there own points of view. By taking others peoples point of views on the matter helped me build a super funny charcater, i think.
