Exciting news - congratulations!
Congratulations! Very exciting. I feel reassured that they do exist now. Tony suggested I send one of my stories off to them and said I would hear back in two weeks if I put it as from ABCTales. I got an email saying it would be 90 days till I heard anything so I emailed back to explain I must have made a mistake and I haven't heard anything since. And the 90 days are nearly up I think. Not the best experience of them for me so far!
Well done Sundays :-)

Yeh, Sunday, purple patch.

Congratulations Sundays - well done. Unfortuantely, I too had a similar experience to Alex. After their initial email saying it would be 90 days before I heard from them, I've not received anything since (and it has been well over 90 days now). It would be nice if they lived up to their response and at least gave me a 'thanks but no thanks' email.

Dynamoso, maybe we need a concerted email campaign. I might try contacting them through their facebook group if I still don't hear anything. It is pretty poor to not get any response in three months.
new SundaysChild What exciting news for you,so pleased must have boosted you a lot. I will get mine definitely download. Good luck to the other's waiting. julie x
Congratulations, SundaysChild. Ether are dynamic and my experience with them has been great so far. Do keep the faith with Ether, guys. I submitted - four in total - under the ABCtales banner (thank you, Tony) and although it was definitely longer than two weeks they did respond, and accepted all four. One as free download, the others as paying. I imagine they get absolutely inundated and may well take longer to respond sometimes. Or perhaps you've slipped through the net? Worth another email, yes? And good luck!

I just thought I'd mention that 3 months is a very normal response time from small press - the big guys can take anything up to a year. It's considered etiquette, after you've submitted something, to wait at least 3 months before querying (with a polite and short letter addressed to the ed by name.). http://www.ukauthors.com http://www.ukapress.com
Alex, it is a bit disappointing but hardly surprises me, to be honest. I've sent a lot of my shorts and poetry out to various publications and have only ever received one 'thanks but no thanks' response. I don't believe these sites are that busy that they can't at least provide the courtesy of a response. Maybe we need to set up our own online mag and show them how its done. Thanks to everyone for the considered advice and encouragement, though. Much appreciated.

Dynamoso, I emailed etherbooks again when my 90 days was up and I got a reply saying they were sorry but my submission had got lost - they've found it again and published it as a free download. Bea Moyes has been great in sorting it out. She said you should email her at bea dot moyes at etherbooks dot co dot uk. Hope that helps.
Alex, I'm pleased to say they have accepted my submission and published it. I got the email yesterday! But thanks for your advice - much appreciated.
